180 GALLON SALT
All pictures taken with a Medion MD9721 4.1 MP I purchased in 2002.

180 Gallon Salt Water
Here you can see the tank progressing. I still only had very poor lighting. I was mostly working on filtration this year as you can see in the following pictures. I really wasn't too concerned with fish at the moment either. I was using some large Aquaclear hangons and the UV sterilizer was on top of the tank at the beginning of the year. As the year progressed I changed the filtration.

Crab from the beach in the sump- Big Mistake! - he wiped out almost all my fish when he got bigger
Homemade Overflow
Here is my homemade overflow I found from a design on a DIY website. I was cool to make, but I could never get more than 50 gallons per hour from it. I did have to cut it and adjust it once which helped the flow. Later, I just bought one.

Plumbing
A shot of the plumbing from the sump to the tank. The branch to the right goes to the UV sterilizer and there is another branch on the backside for draining the sump when performing a water change.
Sump closeup
In the sump I use some bags of carbon, polyester fiber, heaters, and styrafoam pellets for the wet-dry filter.
